It gives every up-to-date and systematic method of treating of extension, bending, torsion and rate of incurvation of cylinders, including the deformation of of one kind throughout and nonhomogeneous anisotropic elastic cylinders by loads distributed on their lateral surfaces. Minimum strength characterizations of the solutions are discussed.
